Latin Duo also known as Chico and Edwin: Chico Zarate & Edwin Westermeier. They originate from Colombia and Chile. Hence they authentically perform an array of styles. From Latin folklore to music from The Gypsy Kings, Jobin, Santana and Buena Vista Social Club. Buena Vista Social Club is a movie that showcased Cuban music to the wider world. It was brought forth by Ry Cooder.

Latin covers a wide range of music: the romantic bolero, the sensual bossa nova, the catchier cha cha cha, la rumba, the seductive el tango, la salsa and playful merenge, you will hear them all. After years of performing in Latin bands in Europe, Dubai, Colombia, Brazil and Aotearoa, they have joined forces to delight you.

Chico and Edwin sing together in harmony, with acoustic guitar and congas. During your cocktail hour people can still talk while Chico and Edwin play music that is upbeat, not dreary!

They are also frequently hired for themed events, tropical, Austin Powers and beach themed parties, as well as parties on beahes! Both Chico and Edwin have authentic costuming suitable to the occasion or theme.
Chico sings fluently in Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese and English. Edwin is an accomplished percussionist and vocalist.

This is an Ethical Agency operating under a fair business model. A flat fee of $100 or 20%, whatever is greater for regular bookings such as at bars and restaurants. With a 20% cap on private and corporate bookings. Other live music agencies charge anything from 25-300% on top of the performance fee.
